Library is a ‘Heart’ of Institute. Teaching and learning systems are supported by it, through reading material. It is well equipped in terms of reference books, textbooks, back volumes, journals, periodicals and newspapers etc. It is situated in the main building of the Institute. In library we use D.D.C. classification system and books are arranged according to this system. It has spacious reading hall, periodical center, group discussion room and online database browsing area. The library has more than _____ books covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering & Technology. At present library is subscribing to national reputed journal and magazines in the field of Engineering. It also possesses with good collection of CD & DVDs. Its operations are fully automated using e-Granthalaya library system.
Library is also member of developing library network (DELNET) for sharing the resources among its members of libraries. All activities of library and information center are computerized, including bar-coded ID cards and separate Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminals to know the status of books at any time. It is kept open 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. The library is committed to continually developing and improving all our services, especially in relation to those groups with and special requirements. We make every effort to provide practical assistance to any student with a disability.
To support and enrich the formal classroom teaching library is playing an active role in this area and it is providing various knowledge based information services. It is fully automated with internet and intranet connections .In the proximity of the library building the institution has set up browsing section with requisite infrastructure. All the housekeeping operations in it are fully automated in which we provide facility of Digital Library Section where online database, e-journals and e-documents are made available to the users. To meet with present and future challenges it is playing a vital role in the collection development and dissemination of engineering and technical information to students. It has good number CD, s & DVDs database, audiovisual materials access to e-journals and e-books.
Library is fully computerized with browsing section to provide students access to various Online resources.
Library is member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) which is major digital library resource in south Asia. It had developed so many databases, which are available to all member libraries online. It was subsequently supported by the National Informatics Centre, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Its main object is to promote resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries.
Library is also member of National Digital Library which is a project of Ministry of Human Resource Development under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication. Through this framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility online database and e-documents are available to the user. Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find out the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. It provides more than 7 lakh books, more than 3 lakh articles & more then 18000+ video lectures.
All the students, Faculty and Employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking Library membership. Only Registered members in Library are entitled to borrow books from the library.

The Reference Desk is located at the main entrance in the Library. To facilitate library users queries related to availability of books, Pending fine or fine collection & membership cards are handled by the person in charge.
It is being developed to help students to prepare for entrance and competitive examination, to enable them to learn and prepare from best available resources. Library subscribes- Competition Success Review, Career 360, Pratiyogita Darpan, Out Look, India Today, Reader Digest, Auto Car, Sportstar, PC Quest, Digit and Electronic for you etc. Library also subscribes several newspapers like Employment News, The Tribune, Hindustan Times, Times of India, and several leading Hindi & Punjabi Newspapers.
24 CCTV cameras are installed in the library premises as security measure.
